Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Development:
Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and create development plans for employees, prioritizing high-potential individuals.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by recommending and implementing HR management activities aligned with the organization's values and culture.
Labor Relations and Compliance:
Engage with managers and Union leadership to ensure adherence to the Labor Agreement, fostering positive relations and compliance.
Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations.
Employee Engagement and Recognition:
Explore and suggest initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including recognition programs, involvement opportunities, and challenging assignments.
Recommend strategies to uplift and motivate employees for improved overall satisfaction.
Skill Development and Leadership:
Partner with leaders and internal resources to identify and nurture employee skills, particularly focusing on high-potential individuals.
Provide subject matter expertise on HR compliance, employment law, succession planning, employee retention, leadership development, and performance management.
#LI-DC1Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Business Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications are preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of recent HR Generalist experience, with a preference for industrial and manufacturing environments, especially process or chemical plant settings.
Demonstrated expertise in HR compliance, succession planning, employee retention, leadership development, and employee/labor relations.
Strongly preferred:
experience in labor relations, including handling grievances and participation in negotiations.
Previous leadership experience with a proven ability to develop HR staff and cultivate strong, engaged teams.
Experience in an OFCCP regulated environment is preferred.
Willingness to relocate within the US for career growth is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
